Studio TV Production

In a mock studio set up, learned each position in the news room. Directing- Deciding what news will be read, what music will go with it, which transition will be used, types of shots and when they are used, audio choices and when they are played, and what type is seen on the screen. Audio- Listens to cues given by director to precisely time the playing of music, intros, and microphones.. Camera work- Focuses cameras on talent correctly, gives talent good head room in the shot, keeps a steady hand, and follows ques given by director. Screen coordinator- by listening to the director, chooses the camera shots and transitions that will be seen by the viewer.

Audio Engineering

Record and set up live events and studio recording. Create good mixes on a digital platform

Intro to Electronic Media Production

Basic camera knowledge including types of shots, camera angles, rules of framing, rule of thirds, and camera movements. Basic lighting techniques including paramount, loop, Rembrant, split, and profiling by using a key light, fill light, hair and background lighting, and color screens.

Digital Video Production

Photography basics including but not limited to shot set up, sets of focus, types of lens filters, and tri-pod techniques. Learn how to get clear action shots, create stop motion, take time lapse photos, and long exposure shots.

Sound Design

Field recording techniques, achieving good gain structure, and studio recording.

Using Adobe Audition created and altered recorded sounds to create new sound effects for short films, and created music tracks for films.

After Effects & 3-D Animation

Used Adobe software to post stabilize footage, 3D tracking, green screen, create 3D images, text, and scenes, color change, and more.

Video Systems

Using Cannon equipment and Adobe editing software achieved hands on learning with camera lenses,  sliders and tripods.

Using mainly a photography studio and news room setting, learned lighting principals to achieve specific mood

Computer Design 1 & 2

This course introduces students to the use of computer graphics for the creation of artwork applicable to the graphic design industry. Learned the methods, processes, software, and computer functions used in graphic design and illustration. In depth understanding of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.

3D Printing

Using MakerBot and Prusa 3D Printers paired with Blender, Yeggi, OpenScad and ThingsVerse learned how to create 3D Printed objects. 

2D Design

This course uses tactile and digital methods to imaging in black and white, color, and principles of 2D pictorial space. Using a variety of media,  explore and understand the foundations of visual thinking. Create a digital language in products and works that are cohesive to a brand or idea.
